My first latouria x speciosum

Getting a bit excited to see my first speciosum x latouria hybrid coming into flower.

I bought this plant from Phil Spence’s place almost two years ago. The plant so far has been fairly slow growing but steady. It shedded a couple leaves in the first two months, seemingly determined to tell me how sad it was to leave its comfortable home in the central coast. So I wasn’t hopeful to see any result this quickly.

The flower measures about 5cm across, with purple spots around the centre, making it an interesting addition to my collection.

The purple blush on the segments is very nice.  Would like to see this after 2-3 years of solid growth
