Peel away old sheaths, damaged leavesand tidy up the plant

      Brick (pebbles, styrofoam) for drainage

Nice chunky bark with 20% drainage material. Spray plant to sterilise cuts, root hormone added to kick start growth

Growing Dendrobium speciosum from 50mm to flowering size takes a lot of room.  Some of these flowered for the first time last year, most will flower this year

So far… 3 are definite keepers, 1 will get another chance to show its potential. Most will go on the sales table

“It’s so hard to keep being loved, sob.. sob….” — a speciosum.

But hey mate, I love your collection. They all look so healthy and the light green color of the leaves is perfect.

Can’t wait to see they flower. I really hope mine will flower soon.

Bit of waiting in front of me with the speciosums but some of the hot-colds are spiking up already
Should have some Catts in flower over the next couple of weeks too
